A medical procedure to take the tissue sample of the inner lining of the uterus (endometrium) is called the Endometrial Biopsy. It is to evaluate that the uncontrolled development of cells inside the walls of the uterus are cancerous or non cancerous.

Basically, the tissues are viewed for abnormal cells with the help of a microscope. Endometrial Biopsy is done in order to evaluate the uterine bleeding, cause of infertility, test for unterine infections. It is normal to have some mild bleeding for a few days after the procedure.
