Vaginal Apical Prolapse is the descent of the cervix, uterus, or vaginal vault. In other words it is the downwards displacement of the vaginal apex. The Vaginal Apex can be either cervix or the uterus.
When the females have their uterus removed then the vagina drops down, it is called as apical prolapse of vagina. Uterus provides support to vagina, after removal of which, there is a dropping.
